DAVID Z. BEECHER

BIO
David has an extensive network of valuable contacts in the New England boarding school and ice hockey worlds. He recently completed a 17-year stint as Headmaster at a junior boarding in Massachusetts where he was also head coach of the Varsity ice hockey team. During his time as Headmaster and hockey coach, David was involved in the placement of a significant number of talented hockey players to schools such as Westminster, Kimball Union, Williston Northampton, Avon Old Farms, Winchendon, Choate Rosemary Hall and many others. David was Assistant Coach - Men's Varsity Hockey for 8 years under legendary coach Tim Taylor at Yale University. He served as the hockey recruiting coordinator and coached four All-Americans during his time at Yale. He was also Head Women's Coach for one year. Prior to that, David served as Admission Director at the Fay School (Southborough, MA) and Wilbraham and Monson (Wilbraham, MA) as well as Dean of Students and Assistant Director of Admission and Development at Berkshire School (Sheffield, MA).

A lifelong educator, David has been on the IECA Foundation Board since 2007 and currently serves as the Board's Treasurer. He has served as President of the Junior Boarding School Association; a member of the accreditation committee of the Association of Independent Schools of New England; and on the Board of Directors of the Independent School Advocacy Board for the National Association of Independent Schools. He is the co-founder of a national Headmasters’ organization, the Visionary Heads Group. He was the 2004 winner of the Augustin G. Rudd Award, given by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution for exemplary educational leadership.

CURRENT ROLE
David is currently working as a consultant to independent schools, colleges and other non-profits. He is actively working with four organizations providing executive search, development operations, strategic planning and marketing counsel.
HOBBIES
David has a keen interest in sports. He lives in Madison, CT and has two daugthers - Maddie (Choate Rosemary Hall '13; George Washington Univ. '17) and Haley (Williston-Northampton '18).
PAUL BROWN

A native of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, Paul Brown has spent more than 40 years coaching in elite American universities and prep schools including Yale, Quinnipiac, Connecticut College and the Kent School. At Kent Paul was part their college counseling team specializing SAT and ACT test prep and athletic recruiting with colleges. Paul has assisted hundreds of athletes and their families find the best match to meet their goals and aspirations. Paul has been connected to Alan Andrews Hockey, the top hockey organization in the Canadian Maritimes. With Sound Consulting Paul will assist with college advising, athletic recruitment, testing advice and Junior Hockey searches.
CHRISTINE L. PAPE

Ms. Pape works closely with families to ensure a smooth and successful search for each student client. She graduated from Suffield Academy and Syracuse University with a B.S. in Nursing. She is an outstanding athlete having earned All American honors in swimming. Christine began her career as an oncology nurse and in mental health for adults and adolescents. She was a transitional care coordinator for Connecticut’s largest hospital. She has served as a tennis coach for a prominent independent day school in Connecticut. She is an expert advocate for families with learning difference children, and is a powerful voice for ‘best-fit’ schools and colleges.
